I saw this mod with the HR dash 30 odd years ago when I spoke to the guy [Kevin ] he said he just removed the ashtray to get the right width and rest fitted up good ...funny thing it was yellow also think it was in one of the early Custom Rodders Mag's as well  ......Nice work Clint .......FC427........

Very nice work, the van is a real credit to you. Love the dash, the engine bay looks very tidy, would love to hear and see some of the photo's of the build if you have them.

Thanks Stinky,

I am now running a 283 60 thou over with edelbrock air gap endurshine twin 500's goes better than the the 308, wiring now hidden, i have had this van for about 4 years when i got it it was getting very tired it was restored in 1980 and was in the NZ hot rod mag back then as a feature so it is now on it's 3rd life. I have heaps of pics of the rebuild but i wont attempt to load them Grin The next thing i really need to do is get a new gas tank not sure in the k's i get per fill but i can get 2hrs 15 mins driving per tank well thats how i work it out.

I would like to say that she is the cook but she can't so it's only the wife Grin She has now come around and wants her own v8 fc, great more gas bills.

It's around 1.60 for the good stuff 98, or 150 for 91 it was 2.10 a while ago that hurt, check out http://www.thehop.co.nz lots of pics from last month it's a great event loads of cars to perv on.

I just got back from Turkey, diesel was $2.50 a litre, petrol was $3.05. No wonder just about everyone drives a diesel over there.
