I know its a long shot but here goes.
Does anyone have excellent or nos tin can style original master cylinders that they would part with for the right money?

I have a clutch and master with tin tops, one missing a lid but they have been painted with a silver spray. Not sure what they are like underneath. Do you want me to post some pics?

Male threads both ends, it is possible to cut out the centre and replace with a soup tin or such. It can be soldered to the original base and top. I've done this once before but it is a lot of work. Best to find a tin which is the right diameter so you don't have to solder up the side of the tin.

i have a rust free tin with a good lid hiding in the shed somewhere..... is it worthwhile getting it out? ie are they worth anything?? |

I knew somebody would have had a go I have a herbicide tin at home with a screw cap and approx the right size.. hence the question. To save you the hassle is it dent free? If so please send a photo with what you would like for it. I just paid $60 for a decent one with cylinder on ebay.
