I have a clutch and master with tin tops, one missing a lid but they have been painted with a silver spray. Not sure what they are like underneath. Do you want me to post some pics?

Sorry about that  Embarrassed - just reading messages now - will get onto it before the weekend. I don't think postage is too bad.

I got these a while back when I thought I may have to replace the clutch master - turns out I was OK. Not sure what bits are missing or not but I have taken pics from every angle so you should be able to see. Here you go:

hey rabbitoh,

not really.. im guessing they are, i've never bothered to look closely.

Just wondering how hard it would be to make some out of paint tins and some deft soldering.

Cheers

Ed

Male threads both ends, it is possible to cut out the centre and replace with a soup tin or such. It can be soldered to the original base and top. I've done this once before but it is a lot of work. Best to find a tin which is the right diameter so you don't have to solder up the side of the tin.

For those enterprising reproducers out there (yes that means you Mr Rare Spares, et al.,) the queue for these tins and screw caps will start behind me! Grin
