any body have any idea on a compact air-con/heater which fits under the dash of the fc??

You could try the Vintage Air stuff that is made specifically for Hot Rods.  Very compact.
Advertised in Australian Hot Rodding every month.
It is quite expensive but very good and brand new with a warranty which is good.

in the latest Cruzin mag there's an ad for a compact air/heater unit which it claims should be able to fit under almost anything. Smaller and cheaper than equivalent Vintage Air unit.  $565 plus gst.   ($621.50)
