Pardon my ignorance, does the boot rubber for an FC sedan get glued into the channel or just sit within it?
Any help appreciated.

My car currently has a NOS boot rubber (fitted about two years ago) and its not glued.
Before that I had a Rares repro and it too wasn't glued. Both sit fine in the channel and don't leak.
I'm pretty sure that they were glued from the factory but someone else will confirm.
PS: The Rares rubber was a little harder and the boot took an effort to close. The NOS one is softer and the boot shuts great.

If using the ''Spectrum Rubber'' it is easer to close the boot than the ''Rares'' one also as Craig mentioned ....I like to glue them in as its stops the water and moisture sitting under the rubber and starting rust in the channel ... they were glued in from factory .........FC427......
