Hi I have just bought another FE (october 56) and its a single colour (ocean mist green) with two tone interior (italian green and lymph green) and was just wondering if these are unusual and were they a special order.

thanks mike.

Mike - cant find your other post about the FE. Anyway no matter.
I dated your car as late September 1956 - I was pretty close!
Most 1 colour FE 225's have a 2 tone painted interior 2 match the exterior and 2 tone seats
The second colour inside does not have a code number on the ID plate and sometimes is a standard colour and sometimes is not.
The exceptions to this rule are White & Black cars which have all body colour painted interior, although I have made mention of a black car I found recently with a black and silver painted interior.
Certainly every 1 colour green FE 225 I have records of has 2 tone interior paint & seats.

Thank you Ken for the date of the car and clearing up single colour cars, I have taken a few pictures of the interior from the angle you showed me and will get them developed in the next few days and will send one if you like.
thanks mike.

Much appreciated.  Try for an overcast day so shadows don't run across the interior.
