 Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry

RIP Norm. Sad

I dropped in to see him once and took him for a ride in my WRX company car. The combined mix of fear and joy on his face will be remembered for a long time.

Top guy, top family, and a great loss to this world.

My condolences to Norm's family, that's very sad news indeed.

I remember first meeting Norm at the "Marques in the Park" show in Canberra in 2003. He'd been a forum member for a while by that stage, and he bowled up and introduced himself. We were standing around talking to Des West at the time, and between the racing car owner and the racing car driver, it was an interesting place to be.

A few years later Norm made a huge effort to bring his race car up to Orange for the Gnoo Blas Classic (actually, that's on again this weekend). Even then he wasn't well enough to drive it, but he brought it anyway, just so other club members could have a bit of fun punting it around the race track. As someone else has already said, he was an incredibly generous bloke.

RIP Norm.

Condolances are extended to Di and family on the loss of Norm Cry Cry Cry

I called into to see them in May last year and despite his debilitation, he took us on an extended tour around the Young district.......

Norm was a great "on-line" mate of the late Trev Roberts and they communicated regularly in the early hours of the morning.....

Vale Norm Dawe

You were one of a kind

I used to talk with Norm over the phone probably more about motorbikes than cars.  He would ring me up out of the blue because he had seen something and thought I'd appreciate it. That was the kind of bloke he was.. generous and sharing.

My condolences to Norm's family.

You can Rest now Norm.

Condolences to Norms family on behalf of the WA Club.
I've "spoken" on line with Norm when I first joined the Forum and followed his Topics with interest.
What more can you say, a bloke that was liked by all.
May you rest in peace.

Hi all , Today was a very sad day for those who knew Norm , Although in the great spirit he shared ,He had planned the funeral service and the music , He even sang Theyre gonna crucify me by Yoko and Lennon from his band days.
I detected a little humour there  Wink and when Bird of paradise was played - a beautifull song rang out from a bird in the trees nearby ,almost out of character amongst the dry orange hillside
His family seemed well prepared and coped well under the circumstance and something that is not generally expected at a funeral is that he himself earned a very great round of applause.
Those who didnt know him I feel sorry that you didnt get the chance...
And I also didnt see anyone from the FC fraternity paying their respects which was very very dissapointing.

                               Harko .
PS The picture of Norm and his daughter is exactly how Id like to remember him  Wink
