and when I mentioned  "putting shit on my seats", I was referring to comments on the seat COLOUR, not as in caused by my "seniors card" driving style, and most certainly not as a result of the somewhat sedate acceleration generated by the trusty grey...
(although it does go a little bit better since I've become a "modifier" and added the twin overhead interior lights together with the straight-thru glovebox. I'm going to paint the lower edge of the boot mat black and put reflectors on the mudflaps next - it's sure to go like shit out of a shanghai after that!)

um, hang on a sec, maybe the reflectors on the mudflaps are a "custom" thing...

I know exactly what a Toppolino is - we seriously considered buying one and radically modifying it for street use (not as a drag car as they often are) about 15 years ago!  Tongue  Cheesy

Yep, Kathi, I can almost imagine what you and John could do with a Toppolino!!  Shocked Cheesy Grin

Sooooo, after the van and the vette are finished?Huh?

Geez, that would be just something else!

By the way, the very idea of it reminds me of the lime green Morris Minor at the recent local rod run...  It was named "Minor Changes".  The 850cc engine had been replaced with a slightly larger and more modern engine. I'm no expert on yank engines, but it looked suspiciously like a 454 to me...

C'mon John, I can see it now at the next Kustom Nationals in the "Rat-mower" section, it already has the red steelies and white walls and just check out that patina!

Some things are just meant to be restored and some are just meantbto be modified, Like who would ever restore a fiat topolino or a 40-41 willys coupe. On the other hand who would modify a mid 30's Packard, or a a Stutz Bearcat or a Cord 812 or even an Auburn of any type.

FE's and FC's look great nicely restored or modified

I see a tiny bit of déjà vu here – I’m personally happy for people to express an opinion as long as it’s not derogatory and it doesn’t turn into a slanging match.
