G'day all and a happy new year. I picked this car up from the Forum in 2006. It's taken a couple of years, on and off, to get it up to scratch but here it is. The car was delivered to its first owner on 13th August 1957 and did not change hands until his death in 2002. It was then sold to the local Holden Dealership and then onto the head mechanic. During that time it suffered a bit of neglect. Everything is still original including the engine (L372319), rego plates, the thinning duco and the upholstery. Most of the work has involved cleaning and tidying along with new windscreen seals, tyres and a clutch master cylinder. I've had the floor mats up and door trims off and fortunately it's rust free. I am not intending to restore it as I really like the very original look. It has its share of blemishes but still gets plenty of attention and takes me anywhere I want to go without fuss.

Cheers...Ken

Hey Ken
She's a beauty.
I like your thinking regarding the restoration, it's good enough to show off it's originality.
Looking forward to seeing her up close some day.
Regards
Alex

Very nice, Ken. From these photos it doesn't look like it needs restoring for a very long time.

Well done, hope to see it in Orange next year?

Cheers

Thanks for the comments all. Can't beat the old Teal over Elk, Graham! I won't make Motorfest this year - I live in the Upper Hunter. Will certainly make it to Orange though  Wink

Hi
The car looks good. If you live up the Hunter way the club is  doing a run at the end of March 27th to 29th to Kurri Kurri for the 50's Festival you may be able to catch up with us there over the weekend if your not busy
