Just watched 20 minutes of Womens Weekly presents 60 years of Holden. Yet another garbage TV program that trivialises the subject.

I would have thought that since GMH paid for it they could have at least got their facts straight. The HT Monaro did not have a 327. They flicked from FE to EK and implied this was the first use of Lang Lang and completely missed the EH!!

I couldn't be bothered watching any more Angry

Cheers

You should have watched all of it as they went back to earlier models etc.  I didn't think it was too bad!  I was interested in the fact that the VE is totally a new design and the money Holden spent.  I didn't think that HD's had the option of disc brakes?  I thought this started with the HR?

Overall, I enjoyed watching it, even though we copped a huge thunderstorm toward the end and missed a little.

Was there a model in between FE and FB?  Undecided It can't have been a very important model Grin Grin

I agree with john, poor wording in a number of places and nothing really interesting or new in content.

Only saving graces were a couple of cool film ads of the one truly great Holden model range (the mighty FE's!)Grin
Seriously, if it aint on the ABC or SBS it will always just be about selling junk food and tampons in between some hastily cobbled together, poorly researched facts read by a superannuated glamour puss with zilch credibility to the faithful, like us Sad.

Well, I enjoyed every minute of it. Programs like these always have some annoying little mistakes. Yes, HD's were available with disc brakes. I saw as many EH's as the other models they showed.
It's always a buzz to see the old footage, especially the stunt drivers. Imagine the length of the program if they showed everything Holden ever did.
Taken in context, I reckon it's a great program & well done to the people who put it together.

I enjoyed it to Collin, but I am biased as my son Josh was the editor.  Its pretty hard putting together 40 minutes of program from hundred of hours of footage, to suit the client.

I also enjoyed it, but wanted more..... How do you fit 60 years of history into a 40 minute snippet? Not an easy task.

Cheers,

My daughter Julia got a big thrill seeing herself on TV. Julia was standing behind Jack when he was cutting the birthday cake.
I enjoyed it even with all the mistakes.
Cheers,
