If he really did have a near new grey motor - what would it be worth?

i like this bit  Cheesy "As the photos suggest there is a bit of rust in the old Van, a few dents and scratches, but a very easy vehicle to repair"

Good one Paul, wondered what you were going on about for a sec, It might be an FB but the indicator surrounds he is going on about are EK, FB were seperate same as FE, you can't see it in the pics but the vent grille is also different EK to FB.
