Hi all, i have just joined the forum last night and thought i might introduce myself having bought my FC special sedan in 1985 doing an almost ground up resto and then losing interest untill now. Spent 4 years overseas and then got into 4wding (still am) and only now after thinking about it for a few years and finding this forum i am keen to get stuck in and finish it. I joined the Vic club in 1987 but lost interest after a couple of years ( or more the case interest shifted onto other things ). I will post up some photo's when i get a chance but here is a quick run down - 58 special sedan, stripped to bare metal and painted 2 tone Maranello red over Sable silver, CRS chassis kit, CRS R&P steering kit, celica 5spd, HR front end with LJ disc and calipers, HR diff, 186S motor with 2 piece cast headers, S 2brl manifold (carby to be decided), also have 2 x 3.8 ltr Buick V6's that i bought to go in,1 is a 77 and 1 is a 79 with hi port heads and an Edebrok 4 brl manifold, HR prem buckets original rear. I will have many questions about some of the missing pieces of my resto as i have been out of the old car loop for a while.

regards,
Nick.

Hi nick and welcome. youve come to the right place to learn everything you will need to know with the rebuild.all you need to do is ask, there is a wealth of information and some very knowledgeable guys and girls here.

colour sounds great and would love to see some pics when you get them up.
the buicks sound like they could be worth playing with, maybe slot one in down the track im sure you can still get a fair amount of performance gear from the states to get them humming.
by the sounds of it you have all the hard work done mate, but are they ever really done Wink Wink

cheers

Thanks, i really wanted the red to be darker but its kinda grown on me, only part i'm not happy with paint wise is the engine bay and i will fix that by painting it silver along with the rad support and cowl or what ever you call that panel where the bonnet catch is.

regards,
Nick.

Hi mods, is it possible to move this whole thread to the Real cars members section or should i just start a new thread.I would like to have a single continuous post instead of pics here and there.

regards,
Nick.
