You use the boot lock, but you need to make a spacer at the back (inside the panel) to get it to sit tight in the lock hole.
Of all the jobs putting my FE back together, this one caused the most frustration and pulled muscles  Roll Eyes

You could use an FB EK surround, to give you something to lift other than the key. If you want fluss fit, I guess you could move the ek surround to the inside, perhaps that would work, it would be the correct size for a spacer.

You could put a HQ boot lock in but the tang of the lock needs to be twisted 180 degree  to line up with the mechanism in the boot lid very easy to do  .......FC427.......

it may be a little late but i used a boot lock from a EH the shaft is longer than the FC's so all i needed to do was cut the shaft down and a very small amount of filing to the surround to get the lock to fit snug.
