Isn't the cop with the mike a bit small - I thought you had to be 5'9" to get in back in the day?

 Cool

Fantastic pic Shayne.
Thanks for digging it up.
I think the cop on the right might be around 7' tall, making the other guy look small.

Thanks Alex, I reckon the lanky cop makes the bloke on the microphone look like a midget.  Maybe the tall bloke is testing the loudspeaker Tongue

I think this one was posted a while ago, but has a broken link to the picture.  Bega NSW Ambulance station 1961.  FC and an FJ in the shed.

and this one from Monto in Queensland.
Notation with pic says 1955, so it must have been a prototype FE Wink  Bit hard to read, but the plates are QAV for Qld Ambulance.  I want one of these QAV number plates for my collection if anyone has one hiding in a shed somewhere Cool

Thanks Shayne, the building has aged better than the cars Shocked

I haven't seen an FE bird on an FC before. I have one at home that I didn't put on Nev because I think it looks too busy with the standard propeller. However, I think it looks great on the FC, much better than the plane. Might put it on Thelma Cool

Cheers

Interesting one, Alex.  I haven't seen that photo before either.

Checker Cab, 1960.  Is this a Victorian (Melbourne) company?
