Here's another old happy snap from the shoebox.  That's me in the lairy red boardshorts on the right hand side.  Posing with my brothers and cousins with 'King J' a modified FJ complete with mirror tiled firewall, underbonnet mural and airhorns.  Toowoomba Show & Shine, probably about 1979.

Spotted this one on another forum.
The person posting it wrote:

I came across these when i was on a cattle station in the Territory.
The old Holden was in a section called mail bag as the mail plane lands there and places the surrounding properties mail in the Holden for pickup.

Jeez you know your hard up for cash when you have to use a rusted out shell for a mail box.

Must be no beer kegs or 44,s for a mailbox.

Hey Shayne
I think the 2 pics showing an FC going over a cliff were part of a series which reenacted this infamous incident.

Makes sense to me Alex.  Thanks.

Here is a rather second hand looking FC wagon in March 1974.

Interesting 2 tone FC ute or van... Some early creativity. I wonder if it had the stripe kit down the side!
