Perhaps a tradesman slept in it so he did not have to get up early in the morning.

A pic for Zulu.
Southport Qld c1960.

This 1 may have been posted before, but I think it may have been a similar shot. Bega NSW c1961

Not FE FC, but a cool shot of Dwyers Holden handing over a new FJ to the Illawarra District ambulances.

Sorry about the watermark, but an interesting pic. The new Rothmans fleet outside the Holden dealer. If you look close you can see an FB in the showroom.

NZ Police.

I had one of them coronas
painted flames all over it 1 owner car low miles
I remeber towing dads boat down to the local ramp just a centre console put it in and it wouldnt even pull the trailer out had to get a tow 1.3 litre 2sp auto not very nice at all.
I then stripped a cam gear so we got a complete cam and gear out of a earlly toyota truck that had the same engine and i dont know what the cam grind was but it was un drivable so we scrapped it.

I hope that one is in landfill somewhere.

Yes FCHoon, they weren't the ideal tow car.  Makes you wonder how powerful the truck would have been!

Anyway, here's another blue Holden.  Bardon, Brisbane in 1968.  Trams last ran in Brisbane in 1969.

If its a govt photo, then it should be on the National Achives site, and here it is!!!

http://naa12.naa.gov.au/scripts/PhotoSearchItemDetail.asp?M=0&B=11741407&SE=1

A clearer photo and less cropped.  A very neat wagon.  But I can't work out what is on the tail gate.

Cheers

I copied it and made it bigger but still not clear - I'll guess something like a towel used to tie a bike on the back sitting on the bumper? Maybe a big uni and you drive and park then ride to class? Just a guess....

Link won't bring up the pic for me.
Went and had a look and think that there is a checked shirt hanging on the tailgate handle. Perhaps the owner is taking in some sun on the adjacent grass....we'll never know.

Here are a couple more I found whilst looking.
