2002 F@#D BA XT Falcon $9,500

I have for sale a 2002 F@#D BA Falcon.  I no longer need it as I am picking up a company car Monday (with fuel card...yippee!).
You will all be pleased to know that the car is a Holden Commodore.  It will look nice in the back yard next to my FC.
Anyway, it is a very good vehicle and is in tip top condition.  I am asking $9,500 for it.  It has a Roadworthy Certificate & is registered until October '08.  It is kitted out with 17" alloys, spoiler, tow bar and also has an electronic rust proofing system fitted.  Paint & Interior both in really good condition and can return around 10 litres per 100 km on the highway.  Until I got this car I was a died-in-the-wool Holden man, but it almost turned me.

i was just curious what the electronic rust proofing is?

It works in the same way  petrol refineres protect there underground steel pipes from rust by putting a small electrical current through the pipe to repell the ion not sure if it's + or - charge, that would cause rust , think it's called electrostatic protection from memory ........FC427.......

They use this technology on large ships i.e. frieghters.  It is yet to be proven on cars??  Please don't get me wrong, I am not knocking the car for sale, just that i recall it was a big discussion when I was doing Chemistry, and it was still then yet to be proven.  On the larger ships they drag a line which creates an  electrostatic charge which is attached to the hull, and is supposed to reduce the formation of rust???

Hi all,
Just to let you know that I have decided to drop the price of my Falcon to $8,750 after doing a bit of research in the Motoring section of Saturday's Courier Mail.
It's a very tidy, reliable car and you would struggle to find a better example.
I concur with the comments regarding the rust protection.  I have owned the car for 12 months & to be honest the other day was the first time I popped the bonnet.  It was only then that I knew it had the thing fitted.  I am not convinced whether it works or not, the car has no rust, but I wouldn't expect it to either at only 6 years old.  I did own a '93 Pajero a few years back with a similar system fitted & despite a few fishing trips down some sandy tracks it had no rust, so maybe it does work.  Guess the jury is still out on that one.
