Hi all.

Does anyone know for sure what the original FE scuff plate finish was? It's tempting to have them zinc plated but it looks more like an anodised finish??

Cheers

John,

There was some discussion of this long long ago in answer to a question I posed - here is the thread.

As far as I know they were cadmium  plating not zinc.
I had some done a while back it was $130 for 4, but that was some time ago.
I hope this helps you. Wink

I have a mint RHS one - no rust on top or underneath - it is spotless. But would need a replate for show finish. The original finish is correctly stated as Cadmium.
Price is $40 plus postage
