Sigh... Undecided

It hurts me to read the pain some of you guys have with engineers and getting stuff back on the road. Over 30 years old here is also past needing a pink slip, modifications or not, just go put it back together and drive. Oh, you tell the motor tax office you have a new engine and you give them the number for the records.....

yeah, it was engineered with the red before but i lost the papers, so it has some number on the rego label but thats all i have, infact my engineer then gave me a master and duplicate and this silly bitch at castle hill rta told me first she didnt need any, then she needed both, that was the last i saw of my engineers certificates, that was about 1997 or 1998.
i still have the same motor (179), now with a 202 crank but i have made chnges underneath wich i regret.

, ok, thats good if it works, but when i got my first one the silly bitch at castle hill rta took my master and duplicate. at first she didnt know what it was, i had to talk her into looking at it, then she took both copies so i have nothing on paper, just a number on my rego sticker and the engineer has dissapeared, anyone heard of or seen a Aandy shankeranko, he was in newcastle then, business was called A&A automotive or something.

Ring the RTA at Castle Hill and ask them if they have them on file somewhere.
Someone once told me that the RTA where they were submitted keeps them.
I don't know if this is a fact, but can't hurt to ask.
If they don't have them, ask them where you stand.
If you get a positive answer, ask for the persons name so that you can refer to what they said when the time comes.

 Huh

 Leon,

When my Wagon was engineered, The copies were distributed like so:

1 X copy to the Blue Slip Bloke (His records)

1 X copy to the Engineer  (His Records)

  1 X copy RTA (There Records )

1 X copy glove box ( Your records and in case the local constable wants a look)

Now the Engineer and the Blue Slip bloke you used in the first place should have a copy on there files.

Hope this helps you track them.

Cheers Rusty

i tracked down my engineer, he has moved to queensland, i called him today, he said he sent a box of 2500 certificates to the rta about 5 years ago and got them back all shuffled and out of order and it may or may not be in the box wich would take forever to sort, when i got home i had a email from him asking for my adress becuase he found my certificate.
He said rta would not give out the certificate unless the car was in a accident were someone was killed becuase it was too much effort to look in the files.
