If you haven't grown up by 50, you don't have to.

Check out the guys footwear, another person looking to get a spark in their thong Cheesy, after some of the close calls i've had over the years you wouldn't catch me dead working with welders, grinders etc. while wearing japanese safety boots.

Most people use Torana columns but Commodore or HQ-HZ are also OK - depends what combination of dash controls or column controls you want to use. Early Torana are good because some models had nothing at all on the column so all original dash controls could be used.
The rust panels are supposed to be cut down to fit the size you need - simply cut with snips or cut-off wheel and discard what is not needed

Hi Rod
I have just had the same problem what i did is sliced them down the middle with a 1mm cut off wheel and welded them back together its a snug fit now you could use a thicker cut off wheel but i think it may be too narrow then

Hope this helps

You should be able to cut some off a HKTG front end as these are not so sought after as a HR units.
