Hi Guys,

First off, I just want to say, I wished i had found this site, years ago !!

I have been a long time looker for a good FC.

For one reason or the other, things have turned out that I haven't been able to secure one, too slow on ebay, too far away to inspect, too much work to do and not enough time on my hands to do it, etc, etc.

But I have decided now, that by hook or by crook I aim to get a good one.
My 3 young kids are at me all the time now, "When are we getting an old Classic, dad? " "Oooh did u see that one dad, that would be cool to have in the garage"

So please guys, anyone that may have one too many, or for some unfortunate reason have to part with their loved possesion, please consider me.
I promise it will be truly cared for and I have plenty of garage space to keep it out of the elements.

Thanks for considering me,
Geoff.
P.S my wife has a preference for a wagon, but so does a lot of people, I'm thinking, lol !!

G'day Geoff,
Sorry, I don't have one for sale but I know how you feel, Up until August last year I hadn't had any. I remember the old man having a few of them (FC's & FB's) I used to play in them everyday when I was a kid. I wanted one ever since but as you well know time goes by and life changes, it's either not the right time, you buy/sell a house or another baby comes along etc, etc.
I have a few boys myself who love the older cars and like your boys would harp and harp for me to get one. I kept telling them that they didn't have to convince me they had to convince their mother Grin.
Well...... eventually they did and I picked up my first FC Holden last year  Smiley  There is nothing better than going for a Cruz on a Saturday / Sunday arvo while listening to some 'Old School' music  Cool Even the wife loves hopping in and going for a drive Shocked

BUT, be careful!!! because like what has happened to many of us The 'BUG' has grown and before you know it you might end up with 2 or 3 in the shed Roll Eyes You just can't get enough of them!!!
Anyway, Good luck in your search for that FC. You will have to let us know what you end up with. The search for one is all part of the experience of owning one Wink
All the best.

I didn't realise you were serious about a wagon, mate i wish i had one on the road, all mine are wrecks, I just had the best body sandblasted and was about to start to start on it when my plans got derailed for now, see Pedros wagons and el-cheapo rebuild and you'll get the story, anyway good luck with the wagon hunting they are getting hard to come by nowadays.

Hi
I don't have an FC wagon ... but I have a very special 1958 FC Special. It has only had one other owner - an old guy that loved it. He would never even drive it in the rain! I love it too. It has done 60,000 miles and looks super. It has NOT been modified. Goes just as well as it did in '58. It has working push button valve radio, and a camping body - ie front seat folds down and inside of car becomes a double bed. This is all original. If you would like to know more or would like to see photos I can arrange it. I have been putting off the sale for about 2 years now and my lovely lady says this is long enough. Very sad. It must go to an owner that will NOT modify it. It's brilliant as it is. Its my baby. Never been in an accident.
Cheers

Sounds like a really nice car John, it must be hard to part with her, hard to come by a good original FC especially one with only 60,000 on the clock.

Geoff,

Might be worth a look, but I believe you may be looking at high teens to secure.
