i was thinking can i make the clutch pedle softer too

is it as easy as getting the slave cylider bored out or fitting a smaller one or bigger one

If you haven't grown up by 50, you don't have to.

Terry, sometimes a hard clutch pedal can be caused by the flexible rubber hydraulic line that runs to the slave cylinder.

Over time this can become restricted requiring greater pedal pressure, so if your slave cylinder is not leaking, you may find improvement by just changing the line.

As far as the power booster goes for the brakes, I'm going to fit a VH24, to my wagon as I believe this is the correct unit for standard brakes.

Good luck with it.

Terry,
The VH24 was originally optioned to fit the drum brakes, the VH 44 is a much improved unit for the drum brakes and the VH 40 is for disc brakes, so essentially you are correct, the VH 44 is the unit that you require.
