A couple of pics from 1957 of Mt Gambier's Holden dealer, O.G. Roberts & Co.

Please note the restrictions on the pics.
Love that billboard.

G day Alex.
By the shadows under the cars I would say they were taken around summer time of that year. Undecided
Great photos.
Regards.

Great photo's Alex, is always good to find a little bit of history especially if it includes our beloved FE's and FC's.

Thanks Jim

Hey Alex,

Do you know much of the history of these photo's.
In the last photo, the bloke with the glasses and white overalls is my father in law. I sent him a link to this site and he just called and gave us the run down of the photos. At the time these photos were taken he was the workshop manager.

Cheers

Hey Mal
Sorry, no more info on the pics, found them on the National Archive site.
Interesting that your FIL was in the pic.
Perhaps you could share his recollections of those times with all of us.

Hey Alex,

He's started going through his old photos now to see what he can come up with. Apparently they did 3 Mobilgas Rallies in which he was navigator on one occasion in car 60.
The 6 people in the last photo, from left to right is O.G.Roberts, Rob Downes(father in law), Max McPherson, Ron Diamond, Bruce Fargon and Kevin Rudigor.

If he can find any more photos I will post them up.

Cheers
