Finally got to drive the vehicle on the weekend. So far so good. Got her weighed today. 1.36 tonnes for those who need or want to know. Not far off now.
Regards Brett

Hi Guys,
Happy as a pig in s**t. Finally registered. Had a great ol bloke at vic roads. Switched on like you wouldnt believe but gave me no hassles and even went back to when he was a younger bloke terrorising in hotties. One thing that i did ask him was if i register the vehicle now with an engineers report, what happens if i later decide to go on club reg and then want to go back to normal reg at a later stage say for example if they stop club reg with modified vehicles. He said that the engineers report stays for the life of the vehicle except if you have done other mods since and all you need is a current roadie to re-register. He also said that dont be surprised if they soon stop club reg on modified vehicles due to people flaunting the rules for which club reg was designed. I think he was hinting that this is on the way.
Anyway i need to put some miles on the old girl and iron out some small issues.
Regards Brett

Looks mint you would have to be happy with that.

Do you have tyres rub on the front ? if so the chop shop is just doing the FC wagon now you can buy blank P76 rotors have the studs drilled and they are a bit further inwards so you will get more clerance..

Once again Love it.

Thanks Guys. Yes im happier with these wheels. Pete, no the front wheels dont rub. Have full steering. If you look closely i raised the wheel arches up about two inches to allow clearance when turning. Didnt want flares. As the car was set up with commo wheels i was restricted in what i could use. How are you going to go with your front wheel clearance. I see you have no inner guards. This will help slightly but youve still got the original front rails that stop the turning circle. Looking good both of your cars. Regards Brett

It will have full turning circle 50mm off the ground so i can do the highway run on its guts.. the inner guards were a problem they will be a big radius at the top and drop down to the rails.
We dont have any issues with the rails as yet ?
Probablly have to radius the gurads up slightlly as i think they look odd slammed having stock height guard radiuses.

Waiting on a ream for the upper ball joints so hopefully on bags real soon to get a look of it..

You going to tassie ?

Car is great Pedro. Just ironing out some small bugs. Expected when major work has been done. Next thing to do is power steering as its a little heavy on the steering with the larger wheels. Already have the rack done but need to wait until i get into my new house. Brett

Thanks very much mate. It wasnt about winning for me today it was about showing the passion that we as car builders have in restoring or modifying these cars that end up preserving them such as yours and all the others. Regards Brett
