rubber kits

Getting to the stage where i will be seeking to purchase a complete rubber kit. I know there are a couple of different manufacturers selling these. My question is which has the better fitting rubbers. I suppose i should also ask if anyone has a complete set that they are not going to use before i go and buy a kit.

I think they're all pretty much the same Brett... ie they all "fit" but all require some degree of persuasion to work as intended.

As mentioned most of the kits have similar rubber profiles for the job intended but are very disimilar to the originals especially in the case of the door rubbers as they are only moulded on the bottom sections.  I used a rares kit in my project and found the best way to get them to fit was to stretch the rubber and glue it in as I went this allowed me to vary the thickness where required as initial attempts made it impossible to shut the doors where the section remained too thick.  Alternatively you could hold out for NOS rubbers.

I have purshased  Rares rubbers but still not to the point of fitting them yet.  As a point of interest I made several phone calls and eventually ended purchasing them and other bits from Restorers Hot Line in Adelaide - WWW.Netwarehouse .com.au, a Rare Spares dealer

Andrew is very helpful and professional.  Some of the people I rang didn't appear to be very helpful.
