If you haven't grown up by 50, you don't have to.

$6-$7000 , There's a few bits short that they haven't finished yet but that is basically every bit of chrome on the car and it will be just over $2000, the grill i had done a few years ago and that cost me $800 so all up around $3000, try shopping around some businesses just charge whatever they think you will pay, i just quoted on a replacement ceiling for a customer for around $2500 and they said they had a builder quote them $8,500, so you never know, guess i'll get the job though. Ed, try Electroplating Technology in the ACT he quoted me $180 a section for the bars and around $80-$110 for the other bits. He specialises in doing cast alloy and have been told by others on the forum that he does a great job, would be worth a call. Regards Jim

I'd also try Glen Gleeson in Bundarra NSW ( http://www.bundarra.com/html/triple_plate_chrome.html). He did all the chrome for my ute 5 years ago for a touch under $2,000 and every piece is still perfect. He specialises in die cast and the parts I gave home were far from good (i.e. badly pitted) and yet came back flawless. Charlie

The solar lights will light up the billet steering wheel really well I reckon. You should put one on the new project too. You need a new challenge. It's not like it took you 3000 days to complete this one, the other one would be easy for a seasoned performer. Look at Pete, he only needs a few weeks to build a standard car

I dunno whose cars are who's anymore, especially now that they have paint. It was easier to tell when they all were in pieces.
