Managed to get a day in today, so I fixed the compressor, bolted down the vice I've had for 25 yrs and never bothered to fit properely because we were always on the move(see I told you I was serious about staying Jack), finished organising the shed then did some work on the inertia seat belt mounts, glad I did after what I found in the pillar Pedro

Pedro have you checked with your engineer for the anchor points I have done this before and he required more than just a plate I made "C" section from 5mm plate fabricated to the profile that matched the upper and lower sections of the B pillar cut 4mm groves in the door jams and back welded them before he was satisfied ......FC427.......

Thanks Mark I'll check, in Qld if I'd mounted it to the floor I only needed a 50mm x 75mm x 3mm plate, you can't see it in the pic but that is 5mm plate, I just replaced the seat belt on Mezza's VY and I couldn't believe how weak the mount was compared to what they make us do. Pedro

G'day all, finally managed to get a few moments on here, unfortunately my mates have discovered that I'm handy around the house and keep coming up with "small" projects they need help with, with my own reno still ongoing and working carpet laying when I'm needed even my weekends are taken up now, anyway enough whinging the engineer has been away for a couple of weeks so I hadn't been able to check with him till this morning re the seat belt mounts, he was happy with the way I've done them and gave me the go ahead to continue so I can get back to work on the old girl now, Phil at Carpliance has been really helpfull and said to send him some pics of the rear seat and pillar setup and he will throw a few ideas around re the best way to mount the rear seat belts in a wagon. Now make sure you do as your told First time in my life I'm happy to do what I'm told G'day Dean, how's your eye. Jack i know i promised you a few weeks back that i was going to get back to work on the wagon but i really do have a good excuse this time, not long after i made that comment i had a P-plater pull out from a give way sign right in front of my work van, I T-boned him and smashed up the front of the van and it's been a pain in the rectum lately trying to dodgy up the van so i can work and dealing with insurance companies, anyway there "WILL" be a progress report before the end of this week. Will be great to see a progress report Pedro. Thanks Wayne it's great to be able to make some progress, my timing is right for once anyway work has died off at the moment so I'll be able to get stuck in this week, and yes Dean i think Mez is a legend too, just shows even after 32 years together they can still surprise you. installed the flouro's i took out of the house into the shed over the weekend made a decent size bog board this morning then back to my favourite job Roof wasn't as straight as i thought Pedro

keep on rubbing Rub rub sand sand rub rub sand sand rub rub sand sand rub rub, I still hate bogging Insert Quote So the race starts again... Lol! Not much of a race at the moment JB, three days on one panel that means I'll probably be finished around christmas-----2014 I went and saw the local painter yesterday to get a quote on him doing the bogging but he was booked up months ahead, lucky i did though because he told me what i was doing wrong, I was filling a low spot then sanding which created another low spot so i was going around and around in circles as each layer of bog can be harder or softer than those around it, he said to get it as straight as i could then skim coat the whole area, two coats and it was done , I will put up pics later to show what i did, unfortunately photobucket is down at the moment.
