Thats a vacum chamber used for opening and closing vents and the like, its something that would probably make vacum wipers work better as well. Cheers Deano

I haven't done that bit yet Gary, I haven't mentioned it yet (coz I'll probably cop a bagging ) but when I made the sump I forgot to allow for the fact the engine sits on a slant so it was just a waste of time and effort , you can just see it in the pics, apparently the sump off a GQ patrol with the RB30 engine fits with only a small amount of modification so I'm going to get one this week and try it, I'll let you know how it goes. If you get stuck for a sump i modified standard VL and pickup in about 3hours can take some pics if you want i was going to sell off my whole conversion front end sump tank and wiring but i figured if i find a half decent FE to EK ill just drop the whole lot in and double my money.
Also PEDRO make sure you nock out the blank for the dipstick with the sump off or your gunna have trouble getting it out.

A very usefull peice of info Pete, I was wondering how i was going to solve that problem, fitted the wiring up to the engine yesterday, easy so far as there is a seperate harness for the engine, I'm just about to ring the wreckers and find out what a sump is worth I was told they were pretty cheap as most people rip out the RB30 and fit a bigger engine, I'll let you know Gary. at this rate you will have yours finished long before mine Depends on the finances Keith, so far I'm doing all the jobs that don't cost much, have you finished your rust work yet. Pedro
