I am mulling over ideas for carburetion on the "new project".
Plans are for a mild 202 and 5 speed, the car is intended to be a cruiser so reliability and mileage come before performance.
Of course looks will come into it too as I intend the car to be fairly tidy and hopefully hold it's own at a car show. For this reason I have been looking at twin carb setups especially the more unusual twin side-draught setups. I have thought about the VK EFI setup but it doesn't really "sit" with the theme of the car.
Does anyone have any advice or experience they can share?

Stinky How about twin 13/4'' SU's  I ran a set on a FC I owned No firewall mods a lot easer to tune than triples and great fuel economy and went a lot better than the twin Stromberg's they replaced, I bought the lot new when my mate worked at LYNX for $ 105.oo and came with extra needles  and springs  [that was years back] ....Just a thought .......FC427.......

very nice looking bit of gear, just wondering how the ECU would handle 2 injectors for the 6 pots. i know when i was putting together my system i couldnt use the red head because the siamese ports would not allow for even fuel distribution (each injector needed its dedicated port unless i went direct port injection ). it might work i guess if the injectors were firing constantly and you had huge injectors but trying to control that may require some sweet tuning/ programming.
now 2 of them would look super sweet Grin Grin Grin

On their site they say they have one for 4 injectors as well ,how about 2 for fuel 2 for methanol on top of my little blower . Bryant engineering also make injection for blue / black engines that looks real cool .......FC427.....

I love your EFI setup Dean, it's innovative using readily available parts.

I think Diablo motors makes a quad 48IDA style manifold for V8s and 4 of these TB's perched on top would certainly look the business.

thing is with TB injection you're always going to have compromised fuel distribution, unfortunately not every motor or cylinder head has the option of direct port injection.

Fatboy has a really cool EFI set up, but I won't steal his thunder... post a pic Fat.

Cheers

Ed

thanks ed i have you to blame, i mean thanks for the switch. Grin

it would be interesting to see these throttle bodies setup on a holden 6, i have seen the bryant setup looks great but not cheap.

how deep is the pocket stinky? Wink

I use to run a single 45mm DCOE on one of my EH's and it was nothing special changed to 3 x su's and picked it up a lot . On my blower set up for the FC  I run 1 x 48mm IDF and it feeds it no problems........FC427........

Not that well, I has a set-up a few years ago, and I will give any induction system a go but never had any success.
Stinky why dont you look at a 4 barrel holley injection set-up (not the actual holley projection) from that company (you can also scource from ebay america cheaply) This would fit well and go great (hmmm plus plumb in a nitrous plate system Grin)
cheers

I really want duals or triples in a pinch, I have stumbled across some "special" TBI setups will post more if it looks promising.
