The Victorian club is running its auction and swap again on the 26th of July - This is the 18th year we have been running the event, and over the years we have sold some unbelievable stuff.
This year promises to be just as big - so here is your opportunity to submit some of your parts for us to sell.

Here are the rules. Parts for sale must be either new, or if they are second hand, they must be rare or an accessory. Memorabilia or collectables are also OK. Parts for Holdens between FX and WB are acceptable.

If you are a Vic club member then the club takes 10% of the sale price, if you are not a member the fee is 12.5% of sale price. The owners names of all items submitted for sale are kept confidential.

later on I will advertise for forum members to be able to bid on the items for auction - there is no buyers fee and once again bidders are kept confidential.

Hi Ken,

Being a relative "newby" I am not familiar with this. However I have some older GMH publications that are Post War but before the release of the 48 series Holden that I would be happy to send to you to be put up for auction if these are acceptable.

These  publications were my grandfathers and I would rather see them go to someone who values them for what they are, a part of Australia's motoring history, rather than just flogging them off on ebay.

If these are acceptable let me know how to get items to you.

Absentee bids can now be accepted for the auction, please send me a pm rather than posting here so that confidentiality can be maintained.

Thanks Ken

This is how absentee bidding works at our auction.
Bids are received and kept in confidence
I bid on the requested item to try to win it for as low a price as I can
You only pay what the hammer price is - not what you may have offered as a top bid unless this happens to be the same value.
You do not win the item obviously if the bidding continues past your upper limit.
Your bid is a guarantee to buy & cannot be retracted after the auction has finished.

Lots of forum members have won items over the years and this honesty system has worked well so far. So why not support this auction enterprise as an alternative to ebay - there are lots of great FE and FC items on offer here so give it a go!
