Quarter Vent Handle instalation

please can any body tell me how to assemble the quarter vent handles back on,they appear as though the handle wont fit over the little knobby bit thats on the inside if the quarter vent frame,any pics would be great thanks brad

Are they rechromed? If so the extra chrome can make the hole too small on the inside and give you trouble. Try the handle without the button and check inside the handle for chrome flashing or other obvious build up
