G'day all...
Thought I'd share this shot of your average 1956 parking station....  Wink Just goes to show how popular the Holden was back in those days.... and I guess it still is...
Cheers...

Hi Les,

GREAT PHOTO!!!!!!!!!!! Check out the Tilly's stripe on the FE with the door open.

I'm sure this is the Kent street parking station in Sydney (I park there alot when I have meetings in town)

Keep them coming.

Cheers,

Craig.

Nothing wrong with Fords, it's the driver that did the parking. Wouldn't mind that brand new Cusso in my garage today.
Is it just me, or is that FE with the Tilly's kit a 'Standard'?
It has indicators, but I can't see a numberplate overrider, nor a chrome strip on the top of that open door, and the interior looks to be one colour.
Interesting.

Hey Craig.
I know you say you park there regularly, but how do you manage to drive TWO cars at once. TeeHee!
Regards
Alex

G'day guys...
Glad you liked the pic...! Smiley To help with Alex's observations, I went back and re-scanned the original pic to try and capture as much detail as I could....

As you can see there are a few scratches and creases on the old photo, but you can see the FE a little better I hope.... there is indicators, and no numberplate overridder.... as for the interior, can't really tell... you can see where somewhere in the history of the pic it was re-touched with a brush (as they did in those pre-computer days) to highlight the back shape of the car and the actual steering wheel too... hope this helps...

And yes Craig, the caption on the back say it is the Kent Street car park... good pick...

Cheers..
Les....

Hey Les.
Cool work.
I think that close up confirms it for me....interesting!
If you look at all the other FE's, you can clearly see they have 2 tone interiors. You don't see that with this FE.
Now can you just zoom in on the rego label so that we can see what it says. Lol.
Thanks

Alex.

G'day guys...
That's one of the things I've always wondered.... I have quiet a few old pics, and would love it if someone, somewhere along the line is able to recognise any of the numberplates in any of those pictures... It would be a great buzz I reckon...!! Especially if the car is still around in a club or something like that....

Cheers...

Leon,

You must of mistaken the point of the photo - its a line up to get proper wraparound (or some Roll Eyes) blinkers fitted Wink

See you at the airshow.

Cheers,

Craig.
