HR Buckets would suit style wise, but in saying that I saw a hot rod in a magazine recently with VN(?) Commodore buckets that looked the part. The only give away was the plastic sides that had been left grey instead of matching the maroon trim. Personally I wouldn't go for anything too late model, japanese or sporty/deep buckets.

If you are engineering the car - I think that buckets without head support cannot be used. (in Vic anyway - but worth checking)

I went through the same thing with my Ute I found HR & commodore both to thick in the back to get a good driving position even with a HR column I found a set of  second hand recaro buckets for $200 and had them trimmed now have a good driving position and a comfortable seat FC427

FC_Mad,

I have Nissan EXA Turbo seats in mine,

nice and small, and sit nicely under the window line - it looks pretty neat.

Ford Escort "tombstone" style seats could be the way to go also.

Cheers,
