FE - Black paint in engine bay

Is the black paint in an early FE just GMH black?

Or does someone have the paint code for it, or a modern equivalent?

  LOL Its a dull light, too hard to see after you've been blinded by the extra chrome and stainless of the later model.

My brother needs the info for a customer car, and wants to get it right. The later models (EH, HR, Torana etc) use a greyish black in the engine bay.

The question is, are FE's the same greyish finish, or black?

There were several specialist 'black' colours listed in the technical schedules, but by 1966 they had been discontinued in the BALM/Dulux paint catalogue.

This info is of no value unless you have access to PPG's mixing formulas, but may help in tracking it down.  If you do find the current equivalent I would like to add the detail to add to my list, but currently I have not had time to chase it down.
