The developers are moving in to a small town I used to live in, so I took the day off to go raid some old wrecks before they go.

i was told about a fj ute, but that turned out to be a vauxhall, ute...not a good start.

But..on the same farm I saw a ek wagon, and I collected a nasco wheel brace from inside it.

I then moved to another farm, to a vehicle I had passed a million times, whilst out at night( doing) what farmers do with spotlights) and looked at another ek. I recovered a complete set of scratch plates, 3 door pulls and a remote oil filter, a two speed wiper motor, as well as several pieces of trim..I was happy it had payed for my trip.

I then went to the last farm where there were two fb utes, the first one had nothing but the compliance and weight plates (for another collector), I then went to the last ute, I lifted the bonnet and I was very
surprised, Firstly a set of myers headers, another oil filter set up and more compliance plates and another two speed wiper motor .This was making my day. Before leaving a checked out the visor which was in very good condition, but no manufactures name was to be seen.

Thats when I noticed the interior roof had a wide rear view mirror thingy. two pieces of glass are broken but the rest is in very good condition. Now I am really satisfied.

but wait theres more..................

Before leaving town I popped into the local servo, to say hello to some old friends, when I told them of my day he invited me down to the rear shed and gave me several hundred N.O.S. parts mostly holden, with some bedford, chrysler, Ford etc all dating to pre 1970...he told me too keep what i liked and we could go 50/50 with the rest. There are nos mudflaps , heater radiators, gaskets ., cables, etc etc.

Thats what I call a really good day

P.S dont ask Garry (FE-ute) has first go

Sure does sound like a good day, and a ton of fun as well.
Congrats on the scores.
Sounds like over a grands worth of stuff at ebay prices, without factoring in the NOS stuff.

The mirror "thingy" is a wydascope!!!!!!!!!!!! never seen one in the flesh before how rare are they?

There are 33 N.O.S. holden parts  ( in packages) two n.o.s  oil filter units, over 80 gaskets/cables

(not holden} that are labelled and another 40 odd that I have not been able to identify(yet).

And 4 old glass oil bottles in a shell rack, and 1 windsplit(used.

not a bad day at all
