I lost my FC2460 numberplates when I had the car re-registered, but the other night a mate told me he had a set of the old yellow & black plates on hold in the local RTA RMS Roll Eyes. Looks like we will transfer them onto my car Grin, so hears hoping it all works out.

Nice work, i really like the FE front on it...strangely ( but in a very good way ) it looks tough, but not in your face

nice mix, nice taste, nice look !!  you must be very happy with the finish ( and all the hard work you put in to get there )

nice job  Smiley

It would shit me having the FE front as every old person that sees it would pull you up and say thats not an FC.

Its bad enough now "what models that"

Love the wheels and tyres they really set it off the tyres especially..

Hi Pete,

It is quite the opposite, they look at it but can't quite work out what it is that is wrong. Or they call it an FE.

I like to think I'm doing my bit to prevent dementia by keeping their minds working  Grin.

Dean, it must be great to have your old car back on the road, is it India Ivory over Granite Grey? if so thats what mine was and will be although mine is the second gen. paint scheme so I have the rear 1/4 strip so it has the roof in grey and the boot in ivory(or will do). It's a great looker and those mags really set it off. I had an FE as my second car, but sadly it was hit by a truck and is now in FE/FC heaven, but at least I have one that I am able to rebuild and get back on the road at some point.

Hi Jim,

Yes it is Granite grey & India ivory. Good luck on your build, it sounds like it will look pretty cool when finished.

Dean,
what's that grill badge you've got on your FC ? I know you made reference to it and if i recall you made it... it looks very kool... have or can you take some pics on the design or close up to give us all FE owners ( or FE grill owners ) some ideas on what to put in the centre of our grill... as the FE grill is a little bare without a grill badge, as opposed to the nice looking FC badge, which if i'm correct wont fit on a FE Grill

but that chrome piece you have on your grill looks great

There ya go mate, a chrome bullet, dremel & a bench grinder & your done  Grin.

This is the reason for the name change.....the original plates I had on the FC all those years ago  were swapped from our commodore back onto the FC. (This is the shortened version Jack  Grin).
