My vote goes with the white over yellow. Would also look good in a 59 paint style.

The last one was a bit of a joke, more so than anything.  I could never bring myself to paint a car like that even if it wasn't mine LOL.

I dont mind the look of the Corona's in the 750's, not much of a fan of the 600 style though.  The purple is a fantastic colour and i've already been told by Georgie that if she ever decided to build/do up a car its going to be that!!!

Cheesy im sure it was nice, i'll take your word for it though.

Might have to come down and catch one of the little buggers so i can get the colour just right  Grin

Going to be getting stuck into the body work on the FC as soon as i clear some of the other cars from the drive Undecided

Hi Ben
The link below will take you to the tech support page and gives you a look at the various paint schemes of the FC. Late 58 would look good, but my personal choice would be the 59 Yellow with white insert. There are some slight variation on the main scheme that from what I know varied from factory to factory.

For instance CraigA & HarryB both have 59's same paint, one has gutters painted same as the insert and the other is the same as main body. The sunvisors are also done the same. Both cars look great but would look even better in my garage.

I am a bit of a stickler for originality paint wise, even on modified's. Why not paint the FC in it's original colours?

if you want to go 3 colours, loose the moulds and do a winfield job- http://www.customrodder.com/events/0607cr_2006_grand_national_roadster_show/photo_07.html

otherwise the 2nd from the top picture with all white at the back and yellow is probably the best way to have it without a major colour change.

Ben,

Even simpler, since you have the FE mould below the rear window, why not use that to replicate the mid 1959 style ie yellow roof, white boot, quarters and window surrounds.

IMHO its the best of the FC styles and the cheapest for you to do. It should look great. Wink

Cheers

A pastel grey works for me also.
There is a colour like this grey in the EH range of colours.

I am a bit of a stickler for originality paint wise, even on modified's. Why not paint the FC in it's original colours?

Because that would require a colour change and im trying to avoid that if i can as i have limited time and space Grin

If i was to do a colour change i wouldn't stick with the original colours anyway  Wink

if you want to go 3 colours, loose the moulds and do a winfield job- http://www.customrodder.com/events/0607cr_2006_grand_national_roadster_show/photo_07.html

Dont want to go 3 colours, that was more of a joke than anything but thanks for the link i got a few ideas for something else.

John

Its down to that or going with the white insert and surrounds only.

Mmmm FE FC Hybride little, bit of each and a great paint scheme to highlight your car.

Should look sweet.

Cheers Jim

Hopefully will come up ok once its done, its a budget build and as i use it as a daily i dont want to go too overboard Huh

59 style Jim???

This is 59.... One tiny insert colour.
Why not Red / White?

Again if i was to go anything other than yellow it requires a colour change which im really trying to avoid if i can for now.

Thanks for all the replies though guys, it has given me ideas and i have "almost" made my mind up LOL.

Alex i did a similar chop to the last one with the white and so far thats the winner for me but i do have one other thing in mind which im looking at Cool

Cheers Ben
