Hi all,

Just got my motor back from re-con and am looking to set it up with twin carbies.  I have been looking at a number of different setups and it seems that most people are running strombergs.  Is it standard practise to run two standard grey motor carbies (obviously with different linkages etc) or should I be looking at getting two smaller (or larger) carbies.

My motor is a grey bored out to a 149 with a mild cam...

Thanks

MICK

Two stock carbies with smaller jets, size 49/50, wll do for a mildy modded motor.

There is a guy who can reco your carbies and fit the correct jets at http://www.xtremefuelsystems.com.au/

Cheers,

Craig.

eddies ute looks great I must admitt, he is running a fantastic setup there........if only jack myers headers wernt so rare and damn expensive!  Also absolutely love the twin breather rocker cover.....adds a real individual touch!

I am after something different with the filters though was just after some inspiration...........surely there are some others out there with differing setups???

Hey Mickus,I have a twin carb manifold for my black FC on which I intend to run these old custon style filters.I think Eddies ute looks awesome but I prefer these filters on my car. It's whatever you think looks cool really.Check out the photos of "Making of a bad girl" in "Real cars"also.Cheers,Jamie.

love the look of those filters too, how do they go for air flow?  I would think they are a little restrictive............any comments?

Most of them are open on the bottom as well,I doubt they would be significantly restrictive.Anyone else using these filters?

I am TT, mine dont have the louvres though, yrs are very Kool i must say.  My mechanic who set my twins up reckon mine are very restrictive, I just cut off my redback muffler and welded in a louvered hotdog and cut off the exhaust under the diff, it aint so restrictive now, but reckon it would be even better without the filters.  Hopefully I will have my tripple su's on real soon.  Mickus if you want i could send a pic to yr mobile phone if that helps in any way, cheers
