Hello Everyone

The SA FE-FC Holden Car Club has a Display at The National Motor Museum, Birdwood.
There is 4 cars on display all supplied from Robin Carmens collection. There is some other memorabilia, Posters and models on Display. For those who would like to see the display the cars will be there until 2nd week in October 2007. The National Motor Museum is located in Shannon St Birdwood SA Ph 08 8568 4000.
This should draw some attention to the Nationals in Mount Gambier next year.

Thanks to all helpers, drivers and staff who setup the great display and a big thanks goes to Robin for the use of the cars.

Some Photo's from Today

Thanks

Fantastic display and exposure.
Looks like Robin has a great collection of cars.
The banners and posters on the wall really set off the display nicely.....but then perhaps I am biased!

Yes, thanks to all who did the setup , provided pictures and allowed us to use pictures from the last nationals.

I have mostly standard cars and the club wanted to show that we also welcome members with modified cars so the pictures were excellent.

There will also be some members of this forum that will recognize some of the cars I have on display as they were bought from members.

The Mill only has 2 FCs on display normally, a Special sedan and wagon, and no FEs, so I decided to enter cars that were a bit less common.

Great looking display,
I was just in Adelaide a week ago to go racing at Mallala. We had some time to kill before the flight home on the Monday, so we went and checked out the museum. It's a great place to loose a few hours. I'm spewing that i was a week too early to see these cars.

Here, hear

thanks again to all those members and partners who braved the conditions (driving an FC fitted with cross plys at 60 mph through the Adelaide hills on a wet road) and got out of bed very early Sunday morning and gave a hand doing what ever was required.

The display does show the cars off well, with the posters and memorabilia of great interest.

The display is great exposure, with the Birdwood Classic coming up and the nationals now only 8 months away

cheers

Congratulations SA club on the great display. I couldn't think of a better place to display our 2 beautiful models than at Birdwood. It will give your club great exposure and the next nationals. Well done Robin on the beautiful collection, especially the FE Wagon, I have a soft spot for FE Wagons,
                     well done

Sorry John,

The FE colours are Royal Marine over Castle Grey. A friend and I recently repainted the roof, well it started with the roof anyway.

The car used to be owned by the Hughes Brothers and I believe spent a lot of time in the National Holden Museum at Echuca.

I also had another car display at home today for the local historic vehicle club. They were having a mid week run and dropped in and I managed to find them another 5 cars to have a look at. I then directed them to the Mill if they want to see the rest of the cars.

The FE FC club display was removed today. We got some good coverage during the Bay to Birdwood run with Greg and Kathy manning the display for most of the day, with help from some other club members.

All the cars arrived home OK apart from the FE making some strange noises.

Thanks to all that helped and all who looked.
