The covers are off the first version of the entry form for the 2008 Nationals in Mt Gambier.
Feel free to download and distribute as necessary.
A copy will be going out with the SA Club's June/July newsletter.

Constructive criticism is welcomed.

We'd also like to remind everyone to book their accomodation as soon as possible so you get some choice in where you stay. The places we have mass bookings with will not hold those bookings for us past 31st December 2007. Make sure you tell them you are attending the FE/FC Nationals.

Stinky - I think the constitution states that entries for the Nats close on the 31st of January. I had a quick look but couldn't find my copy of the constitution where I thought it should be.
Will have to pull things apart to find it.

Hi,  Unfortunately the Motels will not hold rooms open past 31st December and as well Easter falls earlier than usual in March, so we have set the close off date as the 31st December.  (If we let it stay at 31st Jan it would only give us 5-6 weeks til event and definitely not enough time for venues/menus/ etc to be finalised).  Cheers Hotlips

Hotlips,
I think you could certainly close off accomodation on the 31st December and you could state that meals may not be able to be offered to entries between the 31st December and 31st January in some circumstances due to booking restraints etc, but I think you are setting a dangerous precedent by not adhering to the constitution rules especially if you choose to challenge others for not adhering to the rules (eg hoon activity)
By not following the rules yourself you leave your club and host clubs in the future in a precarious position because entrants will form the opinion that rules do not have to be obeyed.

Hi Glenn,
I think you forgot to attach the new Entry Form.  I'd like to download it, so can you post a.s.a.p.
Cheers,

It's there (rejigged the original post), I tested it and it was OK for me.
The entry form is in PDF format, if people need it in another format let me know and I'll sort it out.

Stinky,

I had a look at the entry form at your post (!st one this page) and I think it would be a good idea to include a start and finish date under "2008 Nationals".Just a thought.

See you all at Mt Gambier

Glenn
If you are looking at taking 2 cars. What is the procedure do you do both cars on the one entry? Just so it is not messy can you let me know. I presumed that it would be the one intial entry fee and then an extra car fee is that correct?
Thanks

Aww c'mon Brett, I am just the form designer  Grin

One entry per car/driver as it was at the 2006 Vic Nationals.

For example I entered my car with my details and the kid's details on my form, then my wife filled out another entry for her car with her details.

If you want one entrant with two cars, then fillout 2 entries still as the forms only allow details for one car.

Brett,  You can enter two cars but two different entry forms (with two different drivers) must be,  as you can't drive two cars at the same time, especially for judging and the cruise that qualifies for the Show N Shine.  Cheers Hotlips

Thanks Guys

We really appreciate all the hard work that has been going into the 2008 Nationals. Bec and I can't wait to catch up with everyone again. The entry form has been sent and this time we hope to bring the ute. (We now own the red ute that Ray Hammer built for the 2005 Nationals in Jindabyne).

Cheers, Tim.

Congrats Tim and Bec, good buy there, you should get years of enjoyment out of the ute, just like the sedan. Has the sedan been retired or sold? I hope its not sold there would be too many good memories to sell it.
 Anyway well done,

 Wink

Hi all,

Posted the entry on Monday and have also paid the deposit on our room and got the confirmation receipt today. Now the waiting game begins. Not only the Nats but the anxious wait for my Wagon to return from the Painter.I took it over last week .First to Austech to have the paint removed then to the paint shop. Should have a sneak preview Thursday this week and take some pics. Isn't this just great.
Happy Trails
