It also varies depending on size of red motor (at least in NSW).

138 (2250) / 149: One set of rules

161 (2600) / 173 (2850) / 179 / 186 / 192: Different set of rules

202 (3300): Different rules again.

The Guide to Light Vehicle Modifications on the RTA's website covers most of this (again, NSW rules).

thanks ive got it sorted now.helps to ring an engineer hey.really appreciateyou guys answering.nearly got my beast on the road.real keen to come to a sydney meeting.gotta get off my lazy ass
