I must admit,I haven't done a lot of research on this one, but is there any chance Rares might consider making the FC/FE rear quarter special badge in the future?Cheers, Jamie.

Jamie, Rares did in fact make a repro of this badge but a fundamental problem is the physical length of the badge.  It is too long for nearly every badge makers equipment and added to that was a problem with the pin location which was not right.  A very high rejection rate also meant that the badge attracted quite a high price as well.
All in all sales were very low and the badge was dropped from the catalogue.

I am sure that as long as the badge is not too pitted to start with, that it should rechrome OK.

But if it has lots of pitting then forget it.

Thanks Ken,that seems to be the major problem with them when you find them, they are heavily pitted. Was one on ebay a few weeks ago, apparently new old stock and he wanted $75 for it but it didn't sell.Starting to think it might have been worth it. :)Cheers,Jamie.

A mate of mine recently had these sent for plating and they were heavily pitted. needless to say they came back pretty average but nothing could be done.
