Can anyone tell me if this is a pic of the wheel holder for a ute or van

I have just received it in the mail and I think it's for a sedan :-/. The bloke who sent it said it's from a ute but it doesn't look right to me. Has anyone a pic of one for a ute or van they can post or can some one identify this one for me.
     Thanks Brad.

Brad
I am no expert, but would have to agree with you, it looks like the one in the boot of my sedan.

Cheers jim

Yes sedan indeed, you have been gipped, as they are nowhere near as hard to find as a ute one.  The ute / van one is shorter and does not have the holes for the split pin
It also has a T shape to it.
Be careful as there is a wagon one as well which can also be confused - It does not have the T shape to it.

Just as I thought , thanks for the confirmation . I will send it back with postage costs as i'm sure it was an honest mistake.
Can anyone post a pic of one for a van as I don't know what one looks like.

I'm no expert either but as far as I know this is the ute spare wheel bracket, the bolt head is the same shape/size as the wheel nut - the HR sedan wheel bracket is the same & a little easier to find.

mate i looks like the retainer that is fitted to hold the spare wheel up in a fx/fj sedan, i just checked ours and its identical, not sure if the later models retained the same shape though.

Thanks for the replies lads.

I zoomed in on a pic of the inside boot area on my old FB and although badly pixilated the shape looks the same. So you'r probably right about them carrying through.

Thanks for the pic . Now I know what to look for at swap meets and such. My van came with the bolt but no bracket  Cry.  Thanks for the heads up about HR bracket , I'll keep my eye out for one of those as well.
