Spinner, I think you've been had.

That car was in the public display area at the 2001 Sydney Nats (in Penrith), and has subsequently been featured in Street Machine.  I think he was pulling the leg of the interviewer just a little bit.

Have a look at the air cleaner poking through the bonnet.  It's awfully central for a six cylinder, don't you think?

LOL i was going to say that samething as RET about the air cleaner, and the fact is doesn't sound too much like a 186...

Impressive none the less though and i love the colour.

Nonsense.

The air filter is fitted to the carburettor via an S bend pipe.  The increased length gives that 'ram air' effect, seriously increasing torque.  That's why it makes so much smoke.
