I fitted new uni joints on the weekend to suit a 5 speed conversion.

I've fitted several uni joints in the past month with no problems.

The rear uni won't mate to the yolk properly. One end cup sits in ok, but the other won't pull in flush with the U bolt/yolk.

I can't see what could cause this problem.

Any one had any hassles before? I used a silverline uni which is a brand I wouldn't usually use, but was all that was available.

I'll get a photo during the week and post it.

Cheers

Make sure there are no " dags " obstructing the cap and that both sides are pulled in evenly. Or try turning the tail shaft or yolk through 180 degrees to see if one side is incorrect size ?
