Steve, some strange numbers there.
219 is from a standard wagon and the 687 trim code is green interior for a ute whilst the paint colour is grey?Huh

Found a few more the other day -
FC2106-2823A
TRIM 351-651
PAINT 256-2031
L 491105

FE225-21460A
TRIM 175-468
PAINT 256-7466
L343238

FC2106-2709A
TRIM 194-649
PAINT 256-2051

FC225-16380A
TRIM 298-848
PAINT 253-9665
INSERT 256-2031
TOP 253-9665
CHASSIS 7-4343A

The first couple I couldnt find the chassis numbers on - the subframes are covered in surface rust and I didnt have a wire brush handy.

Steve, now I see the pic it is all clear.  The plate is not off the van, it has been swapped by someone at some stage.
The trim code is actually 355-667 which makes it a red interior

Thanks for the numbers Steve anyway - it is appreciated.

Not really - the ID plate on the firewall is not used as part of the formal identification of the vehicle.  The various authorities record only the engine and chassis numbers.  The ID plate (whilst it does uniquely identify the vehicle in a sense) was used to record mainly for GM-H's purposes in recording the colours and trims used on the car for any subsequent service requirements.

FantaC, your van was originally Adobe Beige with a Mesa Tan interior, and factory fitted with a glazed tailgate.  Check out the ID Plate Decoder, which will give you all the details.

cheers
