Hi Guys
Time to make a final decision on paint colours for the FE. As the car is going to "appear stock"Grin I want to retain the original colours Anvil Grey over Cabot Grey. But now I'm thinking of maybe flipping the colours, Anvil grey body and cabot roof.
Just wondering, would anybody have any good quality pix of an Anvil Grey over Cabot Grey or a Cabot grey over Anvil FE Huh The paint on mine was totaly knacked so it's a bit hard to see exactly what the paint  originally looked like.
Any help with pix would be greatly appreciated

Cheers

Tony

Hey Tony.
Try the paint program in the technical part of the site.
The Anvil grey looks a lot like Mals FE.

Mals FE.
Not sure on what colour grey this is, but I know that Richard or Ken can tell us.

As with FJ, FEs with the light colour over the dark one are unusual.  It's far more common to see them with a darker coloured roof.  Unlike the FC, where most combinations were sold with the colours in either position, earlier models had many of them dedicated, generally dark over light.  You never see the relatively common two-tone blue FE with a light blue roof and dark body, for example. (There is a gap in the number scheme for it - Trim Number 205 - but it doesn't appear to have been generally available.)

This particular pair (Cabot and Anvil) is one that was available either way.  Even so, the dark roof variant is far more prevalent.  Does that help you with your decision?

cheers
