Unusual AirChief Radio?

Does anyone know anything about the Remote Tuning Astor AirChief radio. I have been told my radio is one of these.
Apparently they were tuned via a floor mounted press-foot switch kind of like the headlight dimmer switch.

Chris, very rare radio indeed.  Would like to get a look at it in order to take some photos.  Are you able to bring it along to the auction day.

I have never seen another one.

It's at Nostalgic Wireless Company getting quoted for repair. Terry, the manager said I should do some research on it first. If you have no knoweledge of these radios Ken, I don't hold out too much hope anyone else does

I have a copy of an article with picture in an "Accellerator" magazine which you are welcome to a copy of.  This is the only reference I have of them, hence my desire to see one.  Would be cool to see one fitted to a car!
