Hi guys,

I'm about to go down to mullings,

what size are the end bumper bolts?

I'm planning on 5/16" x 1-1/2" for the middle section.

im assuming front and rear are the same (for end bolts).

help appreciated.,

Cheers

ED, front bar end bolts are 5/16" x 1  5/8"
front bar corner bolts are 7/16" x .88"
rear bar end bolts are 5/16" x 2"

The reason the rear bolts are longer is because they have a rubber insert on the nut side of the panel and generally the rubber spacer in betwen the body and the bar is thicker on the rear than the front.

Ed, did you end up getting the right bolts?
Closest I got in SS was 5/16" x 2" and 3/8" x 1 1/4", the guy was pulling weird faces when I passed Ken's dimensions over to him.

What did you use for the rubber spacers?

I used  the large  black rubber door stops.
Just cut them down to size then job well done.

I took the 3/8" x 1 1/4" bolts back today, too small.
Went around the corner to Coventry Fasteners and the bloke came up with 12mm bolts that fit perfectly (took bumper section with me). $10 a pop though and the head needs work to polish up.

regarding bumper bar bolts. i have used 304 stainless cuphead . if anybody needs them give us a ring we will certainly do better than $10.00 a pop. also Ed i left my phone number on your mobile We will post anything out if someone wants  we also have bearings as well being a member ourselves we will do a good deal for other members call Geoff on 63 525033 Lithgow Bearings Bolts and Fasteners.
