hey everyone,
well after punching a few numbers ive come to the conclusion that the worked 138 i want for my yellow EJ at $3850 is a long way of. In the meantime i plan to rebuild the 138 in my blue/grey EJ myself to original specs as im restoring her to original, although im considering twin carbies. I am on a tight budget but want to replace everying that is showing signs of age to get her running like she did nearly 44 years ago. Do any of you guys have any cost saving tips, hints, ideas, cheap parts or know of people or companies with reasonable prices. I would appreciate any help

cheers Zac

thats what you get for punching numbers, it doesnt seem like too much if you drop in from time to time with $500-$1000 payments.
Sounds like what I had done too my red motor in it's last rebuild and the motor was unkillable.
did you get a itemised list of the work, maybe then we could compare some prices as I dont think stuff like boring could be to different in price between red and grey.
